Segment I and II
Monthly Classes give students the
option to take driver education Segment 1 at least 6
months prior to their 16th birthday. This allows the
student ample practice time and the opportunity to
obtain their license on their 16th birthday.
Backing Skills Program (included in
Segment 1) effectively teaches students the parking
skills necessary for the road test.

8 hours in the vehicle training (Four hours behind the
wheel and four hours as a passenger)

behind the wheel and two hours as a passenger)

| Behind the wheel drive times and range driving will
be scheduled with the instructor on the first day of
class. These times are flexible and scheduled at your
convenience. Transportation to and from high school will
not be provided. To be eligible for Segment 1 driver education you
must be 14 years and 8 months old.

Backing Skills/Range Program
E-Z Way's Range program allows students to develop
better parking and backing skills as well as
troubleshooting techniques. Our cone course includes
parallel, perpendicular, diagonal parking and much more.
Students will also learn how to change a tire and
jump start a battery. Range also gives
students the opportunity to become confident with cone
parking and helps prepare students for the Michigan
Department of State Basic Control Skills Test (parking
lot) and Road Test. (Cost - Included with Segment I)

Segment II:
6 hours classroom instruction as per state curriculum

Level 1 Learners License for a minimum of 90 days.

Teaching Adults and Foreign Students

E-Z Way has instructors that specialize in private lessons for
adults and foreign students. |

Our vehicles are equipped with air bags, anti-lock braking systems
and dual brakes for your safety. All vehicles are automatic and
include late model Pontiac Grand Ams, Pontiac Vibes and Toyota
Scion. |

Our instructors will pick
you up and drop you off at home or work in Kalamazoo,
Portage, Battle Creek, Hartford, Mattawan, Gobles, Comstock,
Parchment, Richland, Lawton, Bangor and Lawrence. |

Lessons can be scheduled for daytime, evenings and weekends. |
|

Adults can decide how many lessons they would like to schedule.
Instructors will give feedback on progress and work on the skills
necessary for the road test. |

Our instructors are patient, friendly and approved by the Michigan
Department of State. |

Adults must obtain a temporary instruction permit (TIP) from the
secretary of State before taking lessons. Please read 'What Every
Driver Must Know' which may be obtained free of charge from the
Secretary of State. This book includes useful information for all
Michigan motorists, whatever their driving experience. |

Our instructors are required to have current medical forms and
background checks on file with the state. |

How many driving lessons do I
need? |

The examiner will give you
feedback after your first lesson. There is no
state requirement for adult training lessons.
You will need to pass the road test in order to
receive a Michigan license. The instructor will
help you work toward this goal. |

Can I take my road test as
soon as I get my permit from the secretary of
state? |

No. You must practice 30 days on
the permit before taking the road test unless
the secretary of state waived the waiting
